The Ojibwa Artist Naturalist Orchids

Heart-leaved twayblade, Listera cordata Alger County

A small colony of this plant was growing in an old spaghnum covered Jack Pine Forest. Other plants growing in the immediate vicinity were Rattlesnake Plantain, Spotted Coralroot, Ramshead Ladyslipper (non-blooming), Pink Lady's Slipper, Twinflower, and Pipsissewa.
